Meeting Review (03rd April, 2007)

Our standards have always been high and I must say they are improving. For a start, I like to highlight that we had 6 table topics speakers, whereby we had Lucky (our president), first volunteer, followed by our ever willing table topics speaker Ranjit, and making it more exciting our only guest of the day, Loke, also took part (Loke was adjudged as the Beast Table Topics Speaker); others who took part are Chandran, myself and Hooi Bien. The topics chosen by Lourdes, DTM, revolved around the theme of the day. Lourdes utilized the theme of the day very well by incorporating it into the table topics.

We had the 3 good speeches for the day. Those who attended the meeting had the chance to hear Michele’s ice breaker, titled The Younger Twin. We heard an informative and educational speech from Sham Sunder titled Debt Recovery. Ranjit Singh, ATMB, did his Competent Leadership assignment on the role of the VPE in ensuring better club meetings and also on the roles / functions played by other members in the club in ensuring successful meetings. His speech also emphasized quality of certain white-washed evaluations and stressed on the importance of good evaluations.

Overall we had a very good meeting for the day. Members who have been missing should make a mammoth effort to attend next meeting which will surely be exciting as well.
