Area W1 Contests

Area W1 International Speech and Table Topics contests 2007 – 17^th March, 2007

It was indeed an awesome Sat afternoon at the MIA Resource Centre. Area W1 ISTT contests started and ended with great gusto, because of the contagious enthusiasm and support of the members of Area W1, kudos.

It was indeed a showcase of Area W1's best to our non-Toastmasters guests.

5 contestants each, for International Speech and Table Topics contests.

In a few short hours, we heard from -
Sham Sunder on "Joy of Sex"
Bill Sim shared "The Smile, the Powerful Curve"
Paul Tan shared "My Story"
Johnny Yong on "Chasing Daylights"
Renuga Rajoo on "Love your Vital Organ"

Powerful messages and I'm sure each and every one of us took home something of value... I know I did.

From this day forward, I'll always ask myself "what's my joy of sex?" and look to find bliss, not just happiness; always be kind, humble and smile, the everlasting smile. Love this quote..."We only live once, and if we get it right the first time, even the one time's good enough". And liver's the vital organ in our body. We should take care of our liver because if we ignore our health, it'd be the biggest disrespect to ourselves.

Fellowship, making new friends and rekindling of friendship during break time was good.

Our 5 Table Topics contestants, Lum Woon Foong, Choy Tuck Yee, Alex Kwok, Muhendaran, Liew Siew Yin attacked the topic with gumption. Indeed refreshing to hear the many opinions on one same topic, haha.

Table Topics Contest

2nd runner up - Muhendaran Suppiah (Bangsar TMc)
